Stop Moving....

One night a few months ago Mike was putting Lleyton to bed and the following occurred. I thought it was worth sharing.

For a while Lleyton wanted us to rub his back before he went to sleep. So as good parents (or suckers) we would rub his back. One night while Mike was rubbing Lleyton's back, Lleyton was a little restless. He was moving around quite a bit and not settling down for sleep. Mike patiently said, "Lleyton, you need to stop moving and go to sleep." A few moments later, Lleyton started rubbing his hands on his sheets and Mike stated, "Lleyton, stop moving your hands". Lleyton stopped moving his hands but started moving his legs. Mike said, "Lleyton, stop moving your legs". Lleyton stopped moving his legs but started to move his feet. Mike insisted, "Lleyton, stop moving your feet". Lleyton stopped moving his feet but started to move his head. Mike firmly suggested, "Lleyton stop moving your head". Lleyton stopped moving his head and finally laid still. A few seconds later, as if Lleyton was thinking of another body part to move, his butt started to wiggle. Mike told me that he had to keep from laughing out loud. Lleyton is a clever little guy. He was thinking a little quicker then his daddy that night.

Awesome blog Pam! Keep it up. Glad I finally took the time to read. I'm so happy for you...you are a very wise mom and woman. Enjoy your little guys...I know you will. It just gets better and better (even when they're teenagers talking back to you).

    Love,

    Cousin Kathy
